Nov 2009 – Christmas Camp
Christmas came early for many of our Beavers, Cubs & Scouts when they enjoyed an indoor Christmas themed camp. The weekend started on the Friday evening with the kids writing letters to Santa, then fun & games on the bouncy castle followed by a large campfire. After opening presents on  Christmas Day (Saturday) the young people enjoyed the many activities provided including the zip wire built by the Scouts from the top of the climbing wall. After the Beavers left on Saturday the Cubs & Scouts celebrated New Years eve with a party and we finished off Sunday with a marathon silly game session.

Nov 2009 – Remembrance Day
St Bernard’s Church was the setting for this years Remembrance Day service. The Beavers, Cubs and Scouts turned out in great numbers to mark the occasion. All the young people looked very smart and were a credit to the group in both appearance and behavior. After the service the group traveled out to Phasel’s Wood Activity centre where everyone took part in many exciting activities including Abseiling, Climbing, Crate stacking and Aero Ball.

Oct 2009 – Disco Pool Party
The Scouts finished of the term with a Disco Pool Party at a local swimming pool. On the evening the pool had it’s big inflatable in the pool providing loads of entertainment, a great night out.

Oct 2009 – Big Ball Night
Thanks to a very kind donation our Cubs and Scouts enjoyed an evening at Goal’s soccer centre being coached and playing games under the watchful eye of two trained FA coaches.

Oct 2009 – Boating Day
Scouts from our troop joined up with the 7th Feltham Sea Scouts for a days boating at Bury Lake in October. The Scouts enjoyed a very windy sailing session which for the adventurous members was great fun, if a little wet when one of the sailing boats went over. We introduced the Scouts to the art of pulling a Gig which is a traditional  rowing boat. The young people also had a great time playing games whilst paddling the kayaks and canoes.

Sept 2009 – September Fun Camp with the 4th Headstone Scout group
A fantastic weekend camping with our friends at the 4th Headstone Scouts. The Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers present all tried kayaking, climbing and Archery. In addition the Scouts helped construct a huge zip wire the length of the site that started from the top of the 30 foot climbing wall. Both groups provided songs for the campfire on the Saturday night creating a memorable experience for all. There was also the bush tucker trials that saw the young people believe they were eating worms. A great weekend, see the pictures in our gallery.

Aug 2009 – Tolmers Summer Camp
The 13th Roxeth Scouts journeyed to Tolmers Scout Camp site for their C.T.T week (Come To Tolmers). We joined with 400 Scouts, Explorers, Guides and Rangers from round the country for the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of activities. Some of the activities our Scouts took part in were:- Quad Biking, Sailing, Skiing, Bowling & climbing. The site laid on evening activities like paddle boat racing, football competitions and the huge disco on the last evening. Some of the activities were run on site while others were a short coach journey away. Tolmers even laid on a bar with live bands & quiz evenings for the leaders. The beauty of C.T.T was that the Scouts choose which activities to do and when to do them. If a Scout choose to go skiing every day then that was what they did.
